hi sorry for my post before got it to work finally. installed the drivers and everyhting. i have a new problem.
when i run iprep in dos i got the same problem it sits on 0x70 ff like last time but this tme i changed the port and it worked thats wat i think
when it tell me to turn the drive off i did it
resend command
y enter
this time its on 0x80 and then when i turn my driv back on it straight away reads all the bank up in like 4 seconds
and i checkd with toolbox 46 the key is fine ass well but there are two files benq, cfw and benq.ofw which i didnt understand. is this because i am using xeno connectivity kit to power it and when i power the kit it has red light instead of green. does that mean its in debug mode and would it affect. plz reply quick thanks

It's all good (double check with one of the guys first though)...
Red light is for mode B on Hitachi's - don't worry bout that
OFW is the dump you just did, CFW is Ixtreme with your key in it, check that they match and you're there

you should be good to go
in the video you see that the D1 dont flash every time with me.
as long as the key is the same in both firmware and looks good .
i think you have it.
do the fben.

hi, fnally done it, just took me 10 sec to read firmware again nd flashing it, working great burned pgr4, assassins and darkness all work flawless. only problem louder than a truck, my ps3 so silent compared to 360. anywyz ive burned em on fortis dvd might change to verbatim cuz i think bad media will stress the laser.
thanks cofree jma1 and everyone else for helping me.
now i have a via card, xeno which needs 2 be sold hahaha
thanks.

i dont think you need to sell that stuff
if you have not heard there is a new firmware out today ixtreme v1.41
you dont need to update is only to fix a bug in the 8x speed .
you cant compare the 360 to the ps3.
hell i cant even tell when my ps3 is on.
glad you got it.

yep here is a video.
the thing is i use a x360 sata to usb to flash the older hit drives.
with a connectivity kit that sets mode B
if you dont have this stuff you will have to hope your sata card or onboard will see the hit dvd drive.then use slax to get the drive in mode B

hi i saw the video it looks kind of straight forward but just a quick question cant i just use that via 6321a card to connect hit drive to my pc or do i really need a sata to usb. i have the xeno no worries there.

Well, you can most certainly try. Just pay particular attention to when your dumping the firmware and if it offers any problems while reading the stock firmware out, don't try to flash it, let us know what the problems are and we'll tell you if there is a way around the problem or not.
