yes.. I have a handful of suggestions but it's really a process of elimination

it could be a problem with win media player... so the obvious route is not to auto launch via win media player & use something else like winamp ;)
It could be a problem with the disc itself & the way you have burnt it it.. u could try burning it with another burn soft like clone cd or nero
it could be a problem with your sata card/port so try other ports
it could be a problem with your burner itself!

why don't u hit me on our chat room (irc).. i will be around for the next 25mins or so & we can explore & resolve & then post back here our findings/solution ;)

for some odd reason my via sata card would give me a hard time with some 78hit drives.
i mean it would do 2or 3 thenit would not find the drive to get it in modeB.
when i went to the on board sata port it finds it every time.

i guess what im saying is if you have different sata port try them all. ;)
sorry it fricken early

are you running vista. :?:
if so try xp.
being that it locks up on even a cd song.
all i can say its try a different computer and see what happens.

i know that will be a pain, but its all i can think of.

how are you opening it - by double clicking??
place the files in the root of your C drive & navigate to it via command line ;)

vista : start > in the search box type cmd (press enter)

in dos prompt type : cd c:\
then type 79unlock x
(replacing x with the drive letter associated with the hit drive)

If you insist on using a sub dir to place the files then adjust the dos CD (change directory) command accordingly

eg.

in dos prompt type : cd c:\79 unlock
then type 79unlock x
(replacing x with the drive letter associated with the hit drive)
79DOS-CD(subdir).jpg
simple DOS ;)
