ok thanks i'll have a go at this lilrevuk.

ok so I have now burnt all slax discs to cd-r as before I used dvd-r, and I just tried to get my 0047dj in mode-b and it worked! It was like cofree said it didnt say spinning up disc straight away it went to the right port first and then said it and put it in mode-b. So im fairly confident now that 0079fl will go into mode-b aswell.

yeah I'm pretty sure if you can get it to work with one, it'll do the lot
