Does anyone have a clue how they are banning consoles. As far as knew the only way the could detect the backup firmware was by releasing a patch that would detect it and fill up there database with consoles mac's which would be released via dashboard update hense why after every wave of bannings there would be a new firmware release sent out that would combat this m$ patch. it wouldnt make sense for them to release these patch's via game updates as the scope of people they want to detect just woulnt be there.
Was there some dash update recently? i cant quite recall but i think there was.

the c4v thinks the bans happen at this point is from bad stealth on a backup.
when you are play a backup your console logs information and/or send it over live if/when you hook up.if you had a bad stealth file or backup you are banned.
there have been many small updates/patches on the 360 without a new hack firmware to come out.
you dont fix what is not broke.
guys lets try to keep this thread on track.it is for posting
if your console has been banned. and the info that could help.

"Xbox 360 Console banning
I’ve gotten a few messages and seen some forum threads pop up on console bannings so I thought I’d post and let folks know what’s up. In our our continued effort to keep gameplay safe and secure for our community of more than 14 million members, Microsoft has taken action against a small percentage of Xbox 360 consoles that have been illegally modified in order to play pirated games. You should know that modifying your Xbox 360 console is also a violation of the Xbox LIVE terms of use, will void your warranty and result in a ban from Xbox LIVE. The health of the video game business depends on customers paying for the genuine products and services they receive, both from manufacturers and the local companies that support them. We will continue to employ and bolster anti-piracy security measures to counter piracy in the gaming industry and improve security in the Xbox LIVE community. "

Guys, you need to keep this thread for its intended purpose. If it goes off topic any further, I will clean this thread of EVERYTHING except for what is on topic. I hate to sound or act hateful, but this is an important topic for everyone that is part of the modding community. If you have questions and can't find a topic already started on your topic, please, start a new one. Keep this one clean and on point.

Apologies if this isn't strictly on topic. But i just done a network test there now. I've not been on LIVE since i've had my 360 flashed(2-3 weeks ago) as i installed the system update. Anyway, these are the codes i got.
W: 0000 - 000B
X: 0000 - F001
Y: 30A8 - 4840
Z: 0000 - 0000
ID: 0006 - 0000
Am i ok? I've just been running the games i've used on the console so far through abgx360 and there is one that has me worried.

If the z code was listed as Z: 8015-190D, then your console would be banned. All zero's is normal.

I am Running iXtreme V1.4 12x, all my games are ripped from the originals, and I have the halo console but I spoofed a Sam drive into it because the benq drive crapped out what are the chances on getting banned with a spoofed drive ?> just a guestion

detection is done on a rip basis - hacked firmwares are not detected "including spoofed drives"
however, there is an exception here...
spoofing a lite-on drive is not working properly when swapping out to a samsung or hitachi // we are waiting on the Xtreme 1.5 to to fix this

The BenQ's are ok.
