my backup even work on the old hit dvd drives.

Wasent questioning your ability to rip a game things happen. Lint on a disk can cause a bad rip. But it does seem wierd you have a couple of lite-on drives with the same issue. If it was a weak laser issue why several consoles? If it was a weak burn laser why would it work on older machines. This is a little confusing. Please inform us to the problem when you solve it. if you were a little closer i would bring mine over to give that a try.

one was so bad i just spoofed in a v28

walker72 was the best but it would still do odd stuff every now and then.

and about the mod stuff we will talk about it

well i just seen another person havin reading probs with his lite-on.

i'm starting to think these drives certainly aren't that good at reading some games/backups.

oh well i guess.

Just an update for me. I just recieved another lite-On yesterday. No problems reading Mirrors Edge.

I haven't had any with read problems so far. I've done quite a few lite-ons too.

It's possible that there are multiple generations of the lite-on drives. That would explain why some people have no problems and why all of Cofree's drives are messed up. If Cofree got all his drives from the same place or region then they're probably all the same generation. Just a theory.

well i have a few that are working fine (7 are for crap)

thats actually quite scary because after i flash this benq i xclamped, im going to flash my liteon and reallydont feel like getting bricked when did you get these drivers that are "for crap"?

Just a update

Iv had 2 new unflashed lite-ons that will not play new org gears of war 2 iv tried 4 different org gears2 copies

My friend also had to take back 3 different 360 arcades with lite-on since they also would not play gears
in the end he got a lite-on that worked same year as the others 08

Online allot of people have commented that there new 360 cannot play gears2 (Disc dirty Error)

It would appear that its not your back-ups causing the problem

i was thinking the same. Some is REGION FREE and other only REGION FREE EU or USA

Mirrors Edge is ok on mine and my sons Liteons. Curiouser and curiouser.

i just bought FightNight Round 4...i made my backup...now its having problems too...and my drive is a lite-on too...2k9 nba is doing it to...

I'm having the same issue on 2 LiteOn's

1 is very picky when it comes to playing backups sometimes it will (After opening & closing the drive tray several times), but sometimes it wont even register a disc in the drive.

The other drive just wont play ANY backup at all....

So i've spoofed 1 as a Benq & im gonna be spoofing the other to a ms25 or 28 shortly.

I thought i was the only one with this problem.

Not a good sign IMO!!!!!!
