For all drives except for hitachi, the light should be blue. If you were dealing with a hitachi, then you should press the mode button till it turns red, but your dealing with a lite-on so it should be blue. I'll send you a PM in regards to doing your drive for you.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol i had the light red the whole time lol i thought red was for lite-on drives lol ok i will try it in blue

I did the liteon on jungle flasher with the light red on my ck3 lite, so i guess this can be done on either! Xbox is working a treat.

It may not hurt anything, but it's not meant to do it that way. Red light is for mode b on hitachi drives. Blue light is for all other drives.
