ok ok ok !

so this is still working fine, however I want to upgrade it to the latest firmware... but i have ran into a problem

the PC i did the original flash on has had some huge errors and i had to re-install windows.

unfortunately the backup of the drives OFW was on that PC :( (i know i know, schoolboy error!)

do i need this file in order to upgrade to the latest FW ? and if so, can you let me know what the filename would have been called, as I have found loads of deleted files using easy recovery, but not sure which one is the one I want!

i created it using the "flashix.bat" batch file of the Hitachi 1.4 firmware

many thanks !

if its a hit drive
you dont have to have it
to update

just use jungle flasher and
restore it first then
flash it

we have a video on doing the older hit drives and the v78 here
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... .php?f=195" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

this time save that key some where off your computer

hey :)

ok my last problem of the day!

i have a hit47 i need to update from 1.5 to 1.51, but i have lost the orig key.bin due to power loss

so following the video in the link, i put the drive into mode b
click "classic"
then "restore firmware"
and then "restore to stock"

but i get an error "warning, no drive selected"

an then i am now stuck in mode b

hmm

any ideas? do i have to re-enable my via driver? that will prob hang my machine!
