iprep will let you do this by flash drive (USB), a DOS partition on your hard drive, or a floppy disk. The last 2 methods are a little tricky to get setup, but will work. It won't work by CD though. The 360 modification disk will work by CD though.

STOP and don't go any further as that indicates a bad dump and if you erase the drive you'd be left with a dvd player. Which drive are you trying to flash?

first man you hijacked a thread
its not a big deal but it is rude.

what you need to do is post a clear question in the beginner 360 thread and we will have a look
you will need to go into detail about what you are doing.

also have a read over this
its a older guide but it goes into the benq well.

Iprep can now flash 1.5 to 1.5.1 to the Lite-on's

From what I understand, it can flash it, but there is some sort of problem with the dumping 1.5 and making the 1.51 firmware or something. I think CoFree knows a little more about this than I do.

yes
it can
but
you can not have the r707 point soldered.
you have to use a probe of some kind.

you will need to update the def file in iprep also.

so i can dump the FW using JF and flash with iPrep?
is this the correct procedure to use, as I stated before in a different thread I really don't like using JF

well
man i looked back over the thread
what are you wanting to do

reflash a lite-on
is that right

if so just do the whole thing with iprep
but
you can not have the 707 soldered
you will need to use a probe

thats what i wanted to do reflash 1.5 to 1.5.1, i thought this was not possible to this with iPrep.
i asked this in a different thread and i was told it was not possible to do at this point. I guess I was mistaken....

if so I'm a happy camper!

Yeah Cofree, klutsh and sadalius have worked out that it was the soldered 707 points which were causing the liteon problem with iprep. Use a probe instead and you'll be sorted.
