i installed port io 32 and now my drive is detected but when i click ben q unlock it say vendor intro failed. Have tried a few times and it unlocked once but when i got to the part were i open the tray halfway and click read it gave me an error. i have tried about 10 more times but now i keep getting vendor intro error failed. Any ideas? I have already flashed this drive with 1.51 with iprep and it works fine but would like to start using jungle flasher because to me it seems so much easier for everyone else that i have seen. Thanks in advance for any help

well im not sure why you think that.
jungle has a lot of bugs when a via chipset comes into play.

on a via its best to use iprep if you are flashing a benq or samsung

My setup is a VIA card with windows XP 32 bit of course. Old jungle works great for me, new one locks up every single time on the erase. I haven't messed with any other drives besides lite-ons yet so maybe I can get it figured out for my setup and get things rocking the way they are supposed to be. I may try uninstalling portio and re-installing the one that comes with the new JF tonight and see if that makes any difference. I doubt it will though.

CoFree is right, the only reason I used it is because I was flashing my Hit.
I'm still gonna give it a try with my buddies' LiteOns, BenQs and Sams (the more who test it the better) ;)

However, the first time a have a problem with any of those drives, I'm going back to iPrep.

One thing all of you who are unsure should know.
DOS will always be more stable than XP, Vista or any 32bit or 64bit OS.

I had a bunch of issues trying to get my usual computer I use to flash recognizing the drive, reading from it and so on. That was with my VIA chipset pc running xp.

I used my nforce chipset pc with xp and it froze during write and got stuck in vendor mode. I was able to reboot and flash it properly, although wasn't sure if it would recover. It is working now though.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

when you say freeze do you mean the drive is locked up. as in it wont open. . . ? if so then i believe you can follow CoFree's lite-on recover tutorial

Ive flashed 2 lite ons with the new jungle flasher, the first one didnt erase properly but windows didnt freeze like jf 4.3 did so i used cofrees video to recover the drive, the other one went as smooth as it could be, ive also flashed a benq which took me like 60 seconds to do.

There are a few bugs in jungle flasher but its by far the easiest to use :)

im running xp with sis661GX chipset(crap i know),but used new jf flashing a hitachi 79fl with ease.very quick..also was using via sata card with drivers installed and used winapi not portIO,,gonna try a benQ from stock then a sammy ms28 from 1.5 ixtreme..will post results afterwards

edit....ok i flashed a stock benQ in about 2 minutes with new jf,soo easy...then did a ms28 with 1.5 on it,at first had majorissues..it wouldnt read, gave invalid status error(even tho it was in vendor mode and flash chip said status 0x71)..went back to it today and uninstalled/deleted from system32/drivers/viamraid.sys.the via card drivers, and it worked a charm..flashed in about 2 minutes again...
so my only issue was the via card drivers(what a surprise!!!)

but i love the new jungleflasher
