Ck3 mode B is indicated by a red Led (modeB on) and a blue Led when it's off.

If you have your OFW from before, you can miss a few steps out....

Open JF, load your ofw as source, then load benq 1.51 as target. Clicke spoof spurce to target, then click save to file. That's you cfw done....

Now click MTKflash32 tab. You need the drive half open/closed to get the unlock to work. With a CK3, this is just a case, of opening the drive, clicking eject to close the drive, then turning it off before it fully closes. Set the drive to halfway then turn it back off... now try the unlock. If this is successful, the drive will display Vendor Mode in the properties pane.

If you're sure you have a good key in you firmware, just hit write, and that's about it... :P

I have tried absolutely everything.. this is still not working .. I got the pci card installed .. still not seen in jungle flasher or iprep..? I can see it in device manager but no where else..

I think i have sussed this out.. Maybe it is because I am running VISTA 64BIT? Maybe the portIO32 is not working because I have 64bit VISTA..

I just remembered under my bed I had a very old basic pc.. I am going to hook it up .. see if I have xp and then put the pci card inside and try to flash it with that machine see what happens.. any other suggestions?

Thanks :)

Please also see some of the screenshots of the problems I am having.. please help.. I have been trying this for days now.. thanks.

Best way would be to try it again on your old pc running xp. Failing that try the Via card in another pci slot as it might be conflicting with something (go into device manager and check it) Are you using the ck3 with the blue led showing (mode b off)

Blue for all drives except Hitachi (not the 78 or 79's though)

Blue = ModeB off
Red = ModeB on

I have been trying for days now and still can not get it right .. please can someone guide me thanks:)

:shock: hahaha, I had not idea what that red light meant. I just ignored it and did it anyway. I did two light-on drives with the red light on the whole time... :?

I tested them and they worked fine. So I hope everything is cool.
Even still it's not like I charged them or anything, so I figure they can't complain.

lite on can be done with mode b on, but every other drive needs to be done with the light on blue (except older hitachi's of course)...
