you can bet that is the 1st or primary port
is this a onbo port or is it a sata card.

iprep has to be on the 1st port

the format will not lite up till you hace a drive that can be formated plugged in the pc.
put a usb flash in and you should be able to see it in the drop down.

you will have to go into your pc bios and set it to boot from other devices and/or usb
mrsmackdaddy wrote:where do i find my serial key to type in

prep your usb stick then boot from an msdos start up floppy (set the floppy as your first boot device) and also insert your usb. When it boots to msdos and you get to the A:\ prompt type B:\ (if its correct it will change the A:\ to B:\ but it might be a bit of trial and error then type dir and press enter (just to check that your usb is selected, you can skip this bit if you want). It should show you the directory of the usb stick then you can use the usual iprep commands.

Theres that outta the window then..lol. Are you getting a flashing cursor when you try and boot from the usb? Or is it going straight into windows? If all else fails you might have to try and get access to another pc.

Yeah follow sadalius' guide. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=4351&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For a quick check open your device manager and see if the Via card has a yellow exclamation mark.
