ok guys....done the flash...everyhthing went well, however i still get the same error as in my first post... 
...looks like its some other problem...ah well, i think its time to send it back to ms, just gonna put the seals back on, the one under the face plate and the silver one on the drive and box... hope they dont notice that the paper seal on the drive itself has been messed about with...ta guys....until the next time..
