logic would say so. Its always a good idea to have a test drive to flash the key to test with before you erase that drive

Its almost impossible to get a bad key from a drive. Its not like M$ loads the drives with all kinds of fake keys trying to make it harder to flash. There is 1 key in 1 location on your drive, seems to me this fake key comes from an error with JF or iPrep. Just make note of this key, if you get it, you will know you got a bad key, if you are still scared, just spoof the key into a spare drive, and test it.

Yep, I used JF and pull the keys 3 times and it came back with the same key all 3 times. So I was pretty sure its was the right key and went ahead to flash my liteon. Bam, now it won't play orig. or backup game. So I DL hex editor and open the dummy.bin and it shows nothing but 00's. I went back in to JF and open the dummy.bin and all the info. is there with the dvd key.

I will post bad key later. When I used JF, I checked dummy.bin only so no other files were generated. Is there a way to get ident, inquiry, key..bin from the dummy.bin?
I used JF to pull the key and build the cfw and to flash or write I used dosflash. My first thought was maybe a bad flash so I flashed again again same results.

ight man, first off, i would use iPrep 10.7 to do this. that version of iPrep is ridiculously easy to use with the 83850 drive. you don't need a com port or anything else other than the sata connection. second, follow the on screen instructions from iprep and you should be good money. iPrep isn't going to turn up a "fake" key for that drive because you don't have to do anything else to get the key for examlple, use a probe, solder or bridge a connection. all you do is a couple of tray adjustments and you're done. and like i said iPrep walks you through it. you really can't fail on this one. it's almost more easy than flashing a samsung drive.
also, just a side note, i hate jungleflasher, to many steps for no reason. i only use it for hitachi drives. i recommend using iPrep 10.7. . .

apparently yes its the same, not 100% sure on this but the only way to be sure is test on another drive
