You take your hitachi original, get the key. Open the samsung original, replace the key. Spoof firmware. Make hacked firmware and flash the hacked firmware to the samsung. This is just a very basic run down. Use Firmware Toolbox 4.6 to do your key replacing and spoofing. Keep in mind that if you've flashed the samsung already with a hacked firmware, you'll have to do the 10 second trick in order to get around the firmguard thats in the firmware. To do this, when it asks you to choose the port that your samsung is on, turn the samsung off, choose the port number, count 10 seconds, turn the samsung on, it should start flashing.

hmmm..

just do me a favour & get your hands on xdvd mulleter 10.2

Then choose > "view iso details"
Then.. pop the disc in your pc & choose > "load from DVR" / click load disc

then click next... validate that it is a europe/pal release & all SS etc. are present

here's the thing:

I have never seen or heard of that error! there is an error that states something like "the region code for this disc does not match your consoles region" & I think in the drive tab it says unplayable disc or something like that.
But obviously thats if you put an import in.

Can you get your hands on another backup & try it??

well yes.. now when I look at error it says "wrong region" :D sorry.. :)
I`ll check other backup tomorrow :|

This just got to do something with flashing... cus my original PAL cd is fine...
maybe its because I changed dvd-drive from Hitachi v78 ? to samsung ?

Shouldn't be because the region settings is not controlled by the drive. It's controlled by the console itself from within the nand flash programming. I want to say the region control code is in the key vault, but I could be wrong on the specific location.

doubt it.. if the spoof / key injection & flash did not work then it would not play originals either

Today I launched Gears of war and it worked fine .. when I checked region in my pc... it was region free.. :|

Oh, well I`ll just have to make my backups region free.. before writing them to dvd-r :D
But it`s strange that one backup PAL region locked.. didn`t worked.. when my original PAL game worked :|

I suspect you just have a bad disc... try reburning it ;)
