The ones made in Singapore are better that the ones made in Thialand, also make sure you get dual layer disks in the +r format.

guys there is something to it not burning past the 50% ;)
even on cheap disc it should :?
we need to find out why it stops there.
i would not start using verbatim disc till you have it burning right.
then try one on a good disc.

Try XBC for burning your backups. It works well and will give you a error report if something is not right.

If your burns are stopping at %50, this can be burner or disc related. As cofree says, try manually setting the layer break to ensure you get the right one. I can't see why this would be the problem though...

You might want to update to the latest official (or hacked) firmware for your particular burner, do a search on the model number of the drive and/or manufacturer.

I had to edit my hacked firmware for my burner to get some discs to burn properly. This is called Media Speed Code Editing, do a google on it. This is worth doing for discs that return 'sense errors' during burns (I used to encounter this at around %50 with certains discs, after I had extracted media speed code from the disc added it to my firmware and reflashed the disc would work fine).

the disc you are using are DL disc
the burner will burn DL disc

use imgburn
open img burn >tool >setting > write > put the dot in user specified in the box put this number "1913760"

now when you go to burn input th big 7 GB iso file.
and burn slow.

when it starts burning watch and see if in img burn it is giving any yellow or rem warring in the bottom box.

This is the only game I've ever tried to back up. This is the only game I own. The game is Naruto: Rise of A Ninja.
I did back up my document folder to a DL DVD before I did a system recovery.

Also I got another error @ 49.30%
