Hello. What's up?
Re: Game back up help
The ones made in Singapore are better that the ones made in Thialand, also make sure you get dual layer disks in the +r format.

Re: Game back up help
guys there is something to it not burning past the 50%
even on cheap disc it should
we need to find out why it stops there.
i would not start using verbatim disc till you have it burning right.
then try one on a good disc.

Re: Game back up help
Try XBC for burning your backups. It works well and will give you a error report if something is not right.
If your burns are stopping at %50, this can be burner or disc related. As cofree says, try manually setting the layer break to ensure you get the right one. I can't see why this would be the problem though...
You might want to update to the latest official (or hacked) firmware for your particular burner, do a search on the model number of the drive and/or manufacturer.
I had to edit my hacked firmware for my burner to get some discs to burn properly. This is called Media Speed Code Editing, do a google on it. This is worth doing for discs that return 'sense errors' during burns (I used to encounter this at around %50 with certains discs, after I had extracted media speed code from the disc added it to my firmware and reflashed the disc would work fine).
