i doubt microsoft would react to banning this quickly with active iso its use primarily has only come into effect within the last 2 weeks in any case there are countless reports of bans on xbox scene with people who have not used active iso
so currently we are non the wiser

Once again the banning is from bad game iso Downloaded (maybe more than one)

all of my people have played on live and none have been banned
All of my games come from in hand dump.

I HAVE played games with the activate iso on my console when it had the v1.6 firmware (benQ)
it has now been updated to the new v1.61 and played on line
so far so good no ban

Let me tell you what I know about this:

The bannings took place at 12:01 Am yesterday and I wasn't banned

The people I know who were banned are the fools who play games (mw2 ) early OR
have bad stealth or non/ bad verified games.

If you take the extreme pre-cautious steps when backing up you WILL be fine.

Well we all know the risks! It just sucks to see it in action.

i'm not banned yet or anything, i was just wondering what yall mean when yall say "bad stealth" and "bad verified"? don't agbx use its stealth files to patch the game? what would be the extra cautious precautions when backing up? i've never stealth patched a game (only verify) so i was just wondering?

well not checking a iso with abgx360 is the fist big no-no
but
with abgx360 not working 100% with wave 4 games
that coukld be some of it

The biggest thing IMO is only playing games backups that you have made from a in hand game
downloading game iso is the real problem
most of the time.

in the event of geting banned ( not at the time of writing this)
what steps going forward on a new console would I have to take to retrieve gamer tag DLC etc etc especially when there is all this talk of hard drive corruption etc
in other words if console is banned on live and I purchase another how do I get back to square one ?

well man you should have started your on thread for this question
but

first you have to recover your gamertag onto the new console
then you have to Transfer Content Licenses to a New Console
so have a read over this

thanks as always for your prompt reply cofree but my understanding is that microsoft are deliberately corrupting your original hard drive if you are banned now !

when you do a recover gamer tag
that will be from there servers
and so will the licenses transfer

it will have nothing to do with your old HD

i got banned yesterday on my elite console...i previously had a 60gb version...ive been playing on xbl for just over a year with this...i then transferred all the data fro the 60gb console, including my xbl live account, to my new elite console using a data migration kit that MS sent me....ive just had the elite for 2 weeks....now its banned ?....i havnt played or tried to play an new wave 4 game using the activate.iso disc...in fact i havnt even tried to make the activate,iso disc...ive played the game like GTA, fifa 2010, pro evo 2010...but these were properly staelth patched and run through abgx360....i dont understand how they banned my consol , unless oredering the data migration kit had something to do with it...
