ok i took out the battery for the controller hit the button still wont werk

Did you just press and release kinda quick? If so, try holding it down for about 4 or 5 seconds and see if it will turn the 360 on from the off position.

ok i try what u say with 360 off and yes the controller turns the xbox on when the 360 off with and without the battery n da controller
