Re: me again! lite-on drive help required!
well man there is a good chance this wont happen to night
the worst thing you could do is get in a hurry.
ok
so you have a lite-on and you have the r707 soldered together.
go it to detail on just what you are doing and when.
dont leave anything out.
start from the opening of iprep 8.8

ok full belly and a renewed enthusiam!
so this is the steps i have taken, and do take when trying to flash
1. opened drive
2. got my friend to solder r707 and r708 with 2 tiny peices of wire
3. started iprep
4. clicked load liteon FM
5. choosen com1 and made sure correct port is displayd
6. ticked both boxes
7. rebooted after disk creation
8. when on disk, typed dlit 1234567 12345 (used my ser)
9. drive is on, pressed any key to cont
10. opened tray
11. turned off
12. closed to half open
13. turned on
14. pressed Y
15 get dvd-key is invalid
16. feel like crying for a bit

Re: me again! lite-on drive help required!
after you boot in dos.
you hook everything up to the drive com cable ,sata cable and power right
then turn it on.
at that point go ahead and open tray
turn off close half way and power back on.
then continue with iprep
the only thing i can see from here is to make sure your 707 is soldered good
if you can take a picture of it and post up.

Re: me again! lite-on drive help required!
I don't know what you'd need to delete in the .sys file for JF as I just run Portio before I run JF. And yes sometimes it will hang up especially if anything else is trying to access the folders that you're fw is in. ie: Windwos Index Search, anti-virus, or anything like that. If JF is showing you're lite-on and on the right port then use the lite-on erase now you can try to read the orig fw and save it somewhere safe. Then choose your target fw (1.5 iXtreme lite-on) spoof source to target and make sure you verify a valid key. If you're still having problems after this, you may not have a choice but to use iPrep.
