Are their any other GOOD fans out for the xbox 360 that you DON'T need to solder the wires and it DOESN'T use power from the DVD Drive (so no risk of XBL ban).
Does the XBOX 360 XCM CORE COOLER V2 (TWIN FANS) use power from the dvd and do you have to solder the wires?

There must be *some* way of rigging up a fan on the back of the 360 that gets its power from another source...meaning it isn't plugged into the 360 at all.

I have a few more questions about the Whisper MAX fan:-
As the Whisper MAX fans use power from the DVD drive, does it wear/mess up the dvd?
If I didnt want the fan to get the power from the DVD, where else can I connect the fan too and does it have to be soldered on (any pics please)?
Which are the BEST (TOP 3) custom fans available for the XBOX 360?
Thanks

We are just a group of guys that has learned by reading, studying and testing things ourselves. None of us claims to be professionals, we are doing this to try to help people out. We are just trying to help spread what we have learned. I understand asking questions, but at least make a little effort to learn something without it just being spoon fed to you.

i dont have or have not used one so i cant say for sure.

the next time i open one of my 360 im going to hook it up 12v and see what happens.ive never done one on 12v only the stock fan.

The regular Whisper fans are pretty silent and provide good air flow, but they will not prevent the RRoD.

Will the WHISPER MAX prevent RROD?
Heard that the WHISPER MAX fans are the best fans available fo the 360 at the moment?

no it will not
the thing is to keep the 360 as cool as you can.the replacement fans do a good job at that.
it is unreal how much cooler a 12v fan mod will keep a 360.

If a custom fan keeps a 360 cool, then it shoud stop the RROD factor.
Which is the best custom fan Mr CoFree (dont mind how expensive it is), as I need to install it, as I feel my 360 gets a lil warm at times.

it WILL NOT stop the rrod, but it will prolong the life before it happens.
there is no 100% right answer to that.
i believe that doing the 12v mod or a fan running at 12v is the best thing to do at this time.

So your saying at the moment their is NOTHING that can completely stop the RROD FOREVER?
Im really confused here, people are saying that installing a custom fan and getting banned on XBL is just a rumour and some are saying its a fact.
What do you advice me to do (im not very good at soldering), which fan should I get?
