your computer has a certain chipset on the mobo.
the programs that you are going to use to mod your console was made around the via6421a or l chipset.
that is the chipset they work best with.
yes
there are some that have got the programs to work with other chipsets but it is rare and they have a lot of computer knowledge to help them.

Ok post up the details of the "chip" you're talking about..Have you thought about selling your 360 and buying a Wii? Vista everytime someone takes the time to answer your question you post up another irrelevant one. If you're going to ask for advice then please listen to it. The guys on here have got massive amounts of experience in flashing 360's and have pointed out in numerous posts the easiest way to do it is to buy the card, read through the tutorials, watch the videos. Now yes you have onboard sata's on your motherboard but they might not be compatiable, for the sake of a small outlay you could buy the card mentioned in numerous posts and be guaranteed that it would work. Everyone on here will help you out with genuine enquiries but so far you have discounted every piece of advice given to you. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but the guys have tried to help you over and over again to no avail.

no there is no other way for it to work. if you try you can possibly brick your box, where abouts do u live in uk. i would say by reading this post, get it done from someone else.

the via sata card with the via chipset is more than likely what they're talking about, you know you can purchase already modded 360's right. . . ? you should look into that, save yaself some time and energy. . .

Plan and then sell my Xbox360 Arcade hardly used! Everything works as it should and one of the 4 games and 1 demo:P Games are: Race Driver Grid, Skate, NBA Live 08, Grand Theft Auto IV .. Skate 2 demo!
And then buy a ready Chipped Xbox360
