Yeah too right, nothing more annoying then gettting close and not being able to get it...
Are you using a VIA card?? If you're not and using an nforce board, make sure you have your sata set to operate in Legacy mode (which is SATA mode). You should see your sata ports as Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controllers. And you'll know which one is your primary port, because it should list as being compatible when you set iprep up...
Have you tried anything else other than JF?? I would have a go with the lateset version of DVDKey32 (.8 I believe). This can be run from a DOS Prompt, or added to an iprep flash...
If you still can't get it, send it me over man. I'll mail it back the next day :p

been at it for a few hours today, diff biod config, diff cards, diff leads.. still dvd-ley invalid in iprep and hanging in JF
so if you dont mind i will send this off to you to have a look at for me? will PM you shortly for your details!

i really think that it's the bridging of the 707 points that went wrong, i know you said you're friend checked it with a meter but it sounds like the soldering wasnt done right. . . but im sure after lilrevuk checks it out he'll be able to enlighten eybody as to what the issue was. . .

from what im reading that looks like the case. . . fortunately enough i haven't had that problem, i've only had two of em lock up on me, problem easily solved though. . . (l-o-eras.exe)

yeah, that freaked me out first time round (I was flashing on the day the fw was released, so I couldn't find it anything on it to start with)...

dag! i know how you feel because when the first one locked up on me i thought i broke that joint. . . i almost paniced, then i hit the playground and that man cofree helped me out, *sigh of relief* lol!
