So my BenQ finally RRoD and I bought a new arcade 360. It's an 83850c and I tried flashing it with iPrep 10.7 and a CK3 pro but everytime I try to dump the firmware it says "drive data invalid" and then stops with "source firmware not found".
So i'm thinking it's cuz I am unlucky and got a 83850c version 2. is there any way for one to be able to tell whether it's a version 1 or 2?

I'm having a similar problem, but not using a connectivity kit. Essentially, I'm unable to keep the drive 'half open' and have tried for hours and hours to do so.
I'm wondering if this is a common problem with ver2 drives or if I really am just doing it completely wrong. Basically no matter how far out the drive is extended, whenever I plug power back in to the MB it closes it automatically. also using iPrep v10.7 and forever getting 'drive data invalid' then told to try again basically.
Just a thought.
