Benq 'open tray' error

Hi,

my mate tried to flash his benq to 1.61 from stock and thinks he has messed it up as it wont read any discs, not even originals. It just says open tray on the dashboard. He doesnt have the original firmware (didnt save it, nugget) nor does he have a log for it from JF. He said he thought everything went fine by following the Team Jungle Tutorial.

Is there any way back for this? Could it be returned to stock and reflashed again without OFW?

I tried Iprep with 1.61 and it is still the same.

It's his first flash and is worried silly hes cocked up his 360.

When you tried i-prep it would have asked you to save the OFW again, the back up file will be in the backups folder on your USB stick you will then be able to open the backup file using FW Toolbox, this will give you chance to check that the DVD key is ok and the drive details are correct, if these are not correct then im afraid your snookered my friend.
