Robin Hoods Playground

Hey guys I have looked and looked for information on how to flash this older drive (Hitachi 0047) an can't seem to find anything that works. I have a Via card and CK3 for powering the drive and ejecting it. I am using JF 1.67 and it see's the drive but I am lost from there. I have watched the videos for the 78-79 drives, but still cant seem to get it right. If there is some info out there to point me in the right direction that would be great.

you dont use via card for flashing the hitachi just need jungle flasher ck3 for ejecting the drive to get into B mode make sure you have portio installed when you open jungle flasher put the original firmware 47 firmware and the ixtreme 47 firmware in the firmware folder you just attach your sata lead to the mother board sata connection then go to hitachi tab in jungle flasher do the b mode once your in b mode just click flash ixtreme tab and follow the instructions your done

Ok I tried that, but it wont find the drive without the Via. I plug straight to MB and opened JF but still wont see it. Do you follow same method as the 79 except the unlock disk?

Hey guys I know I am new to the forum, an I am sure this questions has been asked before. I have done several different drives, just not these. I checked all over the web for info on how to flash the Hitachi 47 and I found a few things, but for some reason JF wont find the drive. Do I need to uninstall the drivers for the Via? Like I said sorry if this has been posted before, just need a little help thats all. Thanks

yes if it wont find without the via just uninstall drivers do everything the same when you do 79 but dont use the unlock

from there on, you'll need to apply the same principals of what you learned about jungleflasher. I could teach you another route but you'll probably wind up frustrated like most other newbies I've explained to but that comes along with learning as what is not learned from trying is not gaining experience. (trust me i learned this way myself but felt great when i accomplished such feat) Anyhow, hopefully you have an understanding about drivers/computers as that too, will help you immensely regarding what is being spoken of in the other thread i referred you to. If you still need help, post up. btw, you might want to consider looking at the video tutorials on how to flash the hit (hitachi) drives as it's still around. good luck.
