a while ago i spoofed a stock sammy into a hit (which died the rrod way) and now im wanting to re-spoof it as a lite-on.
the only thing stopping me is i dont know the 7 & 5 digit console number i used (i tried 1234567 12345 but it didnt work! i used the proper no) but as another 1 of my posts says i have just lost my 1tb hdd with all my fw backups on (it just died)
so i was wondering if there is any way i can get the info from the drive itself using -maybe- fwtoolbox or another program im not aware of ? perhaps redumping it and getting my serials back ? i tried redumping it using iprep but got nowhere needing the 7 & 5 digits

or you may need someone who has a programmer that can desolder the flash and read it with the programmer.
other than that w/out the original key im not sure how you canspoof the new drive.

the sammy is a drive i bought for a spare it was never attached to an xbox originaly could i not use the stock fw for an original sammy ?
i have all the serials from the case of the lite-on i want it to be, but nothing from the hit it was spoofed as !

So you put your samsung in a hitachi console, and the console died.

Now you want to put the samsung in a lite-on console?

If thats correct, you dont need the serial, you just need the dvd key from the lite-on (dump the fw), then spoof the key into your samsung.

Im not quite sure why you want the console serial... Its only needed in iPrep so you can keep track of your backups. IE: You flash a drive so you put the console s/n in and all the info relating to that drive will be saved in a folder named with that s/n. Then you flash another drive and enter that xbox's s/n and the info is saved in a folder with that s/n as its name. etc etc...

yep thats wot i want to do, i have dumped the dummy bin from the new liteon the key is in there rite ?
i got lost when trying to dump the sammy/hit for the key as my system kept crashing when i attached the drive i eventually got to the 7+5 digit part which proper stumped cos i aint got it. im using ck3 but have forgoten what to do to get the fw from the sammy without the digits ???

You dont need anything from the sammy, once you get the dummy.bin from your liteon, open it as source in jungle flasher, then open samsung 1.61 or your samsung ofw. then click spoof source to target, and save the new fw. Save it as cfw in your 1234567 12345 folder, and then in iprep use the command "1234567 12345 w" that will go straight to writing, and will write your spoofed FW (samcfw)

thanks HS iv done the fiwmware but im going to use the new iprep so what would i call the cfw knowing that the new iprep uses the l74 ectect?
do i use l74 or sam something then 1234567 12345 ?

As far as I know it should be named L74CFW.bin

well im having a bit of a problem flashing this TSH943 as a lite-on ?
i just keep getting "badcommand" im using iprep 11.6 and have loaded the root with 2 folders (7&5 digit) in which i have my L74CFW.bin made from my dummy lite-on spoofed to sammy tsh943 and am getting bad command ?
so i put the "DOS" folder for l-o-eras in there and tried that way getting ff51 ?
what am i missing ?
can i use the ck3 for this drive ?
does the tray have to be open ?
do i need the rs232 cable in ?
?!?!?!? what am i missing
i have tried to flash it as a sam xxxxxxx xxxxx and a L74 xxxxxxx xxxxx
but get errors or bad command

well that was strange after making another 2 folder2 called 1234567 12345 (i tried to use what i thought was the orig number for that console,guess it wasnt) and then used L74 1234567 12345 then went through the strange thing of magic28 and germias unlock method -i thought it had picked my drive up as a benQ ! then pressing "Y" to resend i got status 0x70 ? then it said :- file backup/1234567/12345/L74CFW.bin not present. ****success**** your drive has now been flashed and backed up in yadda yadda.
but it only took a second and didnt erase anything or write to any banks that usually happens !?!
is it done am i flapping for nowt
is this normal ?

you say you put that 7 & 5 folder in the root

to flash the way your are trying you have to buid the flash with iprep
then put the 7 and 5 folder in the backup folder.

the with the new iprep you would use the command sam 1234567 12345 w
the firmware you are flashing in should be named samcfw

that didnt work man ? bad command or file type, again, i renamed L74CFW.bin to sam cfw.bin and put the 7&5 folder into backup ? should i have used the sam or lit fw to create the iprep usb stick ?
the drive still has a fw on it cos it opens !
can i put this drive into the 360 though it might have a different key on it ?
iv heard that the clash of diff consoles kills the 360 so iv never pushed my luck and tried ?

iv just remade my usb with iprep and put both sammy and lite-on fw on it then moved the 7&5 digit folder into backups typed sam 1234567 12345 w and got status 0x51 again ?
wats going on ? im stumped and gutted

you have a backup folder and in that a folder named 1234567
then in that you have a folder named 12345

right

just retracing my steps from getting my dummy.bin fron lite-on
1, got dummy
2,firmware toolbox in jf, open source using dummy.bin (clicking no at popup)
3,open target fw using ix161-samsung and click spoof to target
:- this is what jf gives me does it look ok with all the 7's ?
