abgx360 input errors?

Post by trailz »

This is kind of a strange thing...

First, I run linux and am using VirtualBox to run Windows 7 (32-bit) to rip and verify games. The ISOs are stored on the host machine and are exposed to the virtual Windows by VirtualBox by emulating network storage. I've been ripping, verifying, and burning games with a large degree of success with this setup. Recently, abgx360 gave an error saying something along the lines of "unrecoverable error reading input, cannot check default.xex" At first I thought something went wrong during the rip, but it did the same thing on the re-rip. I reinstalled abgx360 and rechecked, but I got the same thing. I then downloaded abgx360 for linux, compiled it, rescanned the ISOs, and it WORKED!! WTF? This is really puzzling, as abgx360 in Windows still read my earlier rips correctly, and there isn't anything strange or different about these new files names or the way they are being accessed.

Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on here? Is something wrong in abgx360 or Windows?
But there's no sense crying over every mistake,
you just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake.
