Burning with SS v1 & SS v2 Guide

Post by -RoNiN- »

As you may know, Ixtreme LT suggests using games that are burnt with SS v2 to stay away from the banhammer. This doesn't necessarily mean that you can't play ripped SS v1 games anymore. Anything prior to wave 3 is a SS v1, and is safe to play over XBL.
Xbox Live doesn't currently check for SS versions, but it has to do with the way the game is ripped. It records a certain angle twice (in the SS v2). Here are some notes:

1> All kreon drives rip at SSv1.
2> There is no way to change or modify SSv1 to SSv2- it takes place when the game is being ripped.
3> ABGX will report what SS you have under the SS section (trusted or not trusted doesn't matter- it correlates to the 'Trust SS v2 angles' under Autofix selection)
4> ABGX CAN POSSIBLY fix your iso to SS v2 !! *See below
5> The only way to get a SS v2 rip is by using an xbox DVD drive modified with the ixtreme 1.61 (it can play your copies and burn games!). If you don't have 1.61 you can use the 1.6 with 0800 modified, but you can only use it for ripping and not for playing games.

*The way to get some of your games to ssv2 using abgx is to use XBC- inject invalid ss.bin, pfi.bin and dmi.bin data, just use .bins from another game that do not match. Run the iso thru abgx and it will detect invalid stealth etc and then it will auto fix with ssv2 (As long as abgx has the updated ssv2 on server- you can check this by going to the verified section and clicking on the number 1, located at the far right. You will see a ssv2 if it exists).

Hope this helps answer some questions!

Anyone good at sigs?

My understanding was that you had to use a BenQ from the 360 flashed with 0800. Can any one confirm this either way?
But there's no sense crying over every mistake,
you just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake.
