need to know what good firmware use now

hello guy
i just find my psp
it is a psp 1001 and my old firmware i have on it is 3.40 oe-a
now i like to get a good firmware for my psp but there alot of new firmware is out now
i like to find a firmware that can play iso games and emulator and play psone games too

Im using Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3. Works great for me.

Hi. Instead of starting a new (similar) post for the same question, I'll "hi-jack" this one.
Is 5.50 GEN-D3 the latest?
I'm having problems with some newer games resulting in the following error
The game could not be started. (80020148)
Did not have much luck using Google and some of the PSP sites.

EDIT:
I installed the
Prometheus CFW 5.50 Add-on v4 add-on for 5.50 GEN-D3 and no more error code
Hope this will help others!
