I've been trying to figure this nonsense out for 2 days now.
I have an older 360 with a samsung-toshiba ms25
I used iprep to get up a usb flash boot
it detects the drive.. sorta.
I do the dSam command, select the drive but then it says "Port:d800, master/slave:a0" and pauses and does nothing.
When i try to control c to end process i get the error "No SAM-OFW.bin Found"
This is where i thought i bricked it. So i burned a enable800 dvd. getting no reaction from the dvd usage.
it just stops at Port:d800, master/slave:a0.
Any tips would be awesome.

when you made your iprep flash drive did it give you any errors
you say is detects the drive. does it give you "xtreme pri master" that is the drive.

yes.. everything is unhooked... it only shows xtreme sec master
when i hook everything back to normal, i check the flash drive and in backups i find SAM-CFW.bin does this mean it dumped that?

hey mate i have the same make board asus p5k not e thought but they both have same raid chipset which is jmicron. i tried flashing my benq and it did not work. so you need the card cofree is talking about. if you are based in uk then this is the website to get it from
http://svp.co.uk/product/via_vt6421a_sa ... _card_5617
the other thing you can try is changing the sata port because when i tried flashing benq with via vt6421a it did not work but then i used the other port and it recoginsed it. try this and see if it works

Predominantly it's the internal port on the card - usually the one closest to the front of the card
