HELP drive wont read any games.

Here is everything I have went through up to where I am now.

I had iXtreme on my 360 version 1.3 at 5x.

I wanted to change it to 12x so I used iPrep to load it on to my usb stick.

When i went to use iDump it just hung, then i went back over the tutorial and read i needed to disable firmguard. I downloaded the activate.iso and used it to disable it.

Now when I try to use iDump it just hangs right after i press 1 to select XTREME.

Not sure why this is happening, it didnt hang the first time I flashed my drive and I had no problems. I still have my orig.bin and my hacked.bin from the first successful flash.

if its a v25 or v28.

i use the 10sec trick to get back in the dvd drive.no iso crap
get the firmware loaded in iprep
after you boot to the flash drive
then hook the sata cable and turn on the power to the drive
type idump ####### #####
it should give you the ixtreme pri master and what number (1)
turn off the power to the 360 drive.NOW THE TRICK
hit the number that is listed with ixtreme pri master 1 as soon as you hit that # count to 10sec then turn the power back on
it should start the dump and do just like the first time.when it says reboot the computer DONT wait for samtool to run.it is building you new hacked firmware.
if you have the orig firmware saved from the first time you can go strait to
iflash ###### #####
yes you will have to do the same thing to do the flash
the 10sec trick.

After you flash a v25 it technically becomes the same as a v28 and must be treated as such. You will have to do the 10 second trick from now on and use instructions that are related to the v28.

Ok, that is what i was going to try next after i read it in the textbook tutorial, it just seemed complicated so i was waiting on a definate answer from you.

You did kind of confuse me with this line.

when the computer puts up reboot DON"T
if you watch close you will see why
samtool will run.it must run it is what makes your new hacked firmware. after that and the command line comes back on .then you can power down.


with a usb flash it happens fast
when we used a floppy it takes much longer for samtool to start.

samtool is the program that auto builds the hacked firmware.

Hey man, tried doing the ms28 10 second wait method for flashing.

Everytime it just sits there though, like it did w/o trying the ms28 method.

If I hit escape it says something like a0

Status = 00 should be 77.

I tried waiting 3 seconds, 5, 7, 10, and 20, all had the same effect.

(also if you go to your site directly like http://www.robbinhoodsplayground.com it shows me the index, just thought id let ya know)

My box currently has iXtreme 1.3 flashed on it at 5x and im trying to change it to 12x.

I have the backups folder on my usbstick with orig.bin and hacked.bin in it.

i boot up into dos turn on my xbox with the sata cable attached. type in iDump 1234567 12345(but my actual serial here instead)

Then I turn off my xbox and press 1 to select XTREME, after I do this ive tried waiting the seconds listed above.

I always get the same thing, it just sits there and does nothing until I hit escape.

Im running a 25 right now, and I know it treats that like a 28 since its already flash, which is why im doing the bad flash method.

Any idea why its hanging?
(My box is working and plays original games and backups just fine, I just wanted to change it from 5x to 12x)

I usually wait between 11 and 15 seconds and I've never had a problem. I didn't notice these numbers on your list thats why I bring it up. I'm not sure but I think there is a window of opportunity that you have to get it to pick it up.

Im guessing now that sinec my drive is now seen as a 28, I must not have a VIA chipset and it only worked the one time while it was a 25?

1ST make sure all your driver are unplugged when you are trying this

i would say start over
build a new usb flash with the firmware you wont 12x

after it says xtreme pri master cut the power off hit the # by xpri master and start the 10 sec.with me it has always been 10sec on the nose.i use the second hand on the clock.

you need a via chipset to be able to flash a sam drive v25 or v28.its more of a hardware thing not a software.
even after you have flashed the drive you still have to have a via chipset.

try this stop trying to flash
make a new usb boot flash and start trying to dump.keep messing with it try a new sata cable maybe even a new sata card.Move the pci sata card to a different slot.
just because it is seeing the drive dont mean you will get in.
always do IDUMP ######## ######
you cant hurt anything doing idump

Keep trying that till you can get in every time.

Tried everything identical to what you told me to do, no luck at all.

Still just hangs after i press 1 until i press escape, then i get that error status message i talked about earlier.

Guess im stuck with a 5x drive?

Edit: I tried every second from 5 to 25. Pretty 100% positive im not doing anything wrong.

Get online and find your motherboard to see if you have a via chipset. and what board you have.

Sometimes even the onboard sata doesn't work. Let us know what you have.
