Hi. I am trying to teach a friend how to flash xboxes. and his computer is crap.

First of all, his pc does not have a molex cable to power the connectivity kit . so he is going to buy this : http://cgi.ebay.com/110V-AC-to-12V-5A-D ... 4ceb956d22

Anyways, he bought the connectivity kit LITE. but his pc does not have a com port. would an adapter like this work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-2-0-TO-RS232-SE ... 3ca5b162fc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I told him to buy the pro version :?

Thanks :geek:

My PC doesn't have the molex connector so I used one of my dvd burners as a power source.Works like a dream.Had to go to my local computer shop to buy the molex serial cable tho,only a couple of quid.Ask for a molex serial connector and the guys should know what you mean.Sorry I would post a pic but I aint got no camera.Hope this helps

if your planning on teaching him to flash using iprep then that usb adaptor will not work with iprep.
