Nand write protect

Post by ninjanutta »

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.Im thinking about doing the nand WP,I wanted to know if anyone has done this yet?
If you have,is there really any need for the switch, couldnt i just cut the wire and reconnect after update?.
also is there any downfalls,or problems when doing this,i.e does it mess up anything or is it just what it says, stops the hdd getting crippled if i get banned?
any advice is appreciated, ive read all over various forums but get conflicting answers, hence wanting to hear it from someone with direct experience

Well I the way I seen it, it used the eject button to set the mode. I think it's definitely worth it to use the switch instead of opening the box every time you want to change modes. This is the first of its kind so, I'm sure there's bound to be some really cool features used in addition to this kind of thing in the future.
