Wasabi DX

Hello
I install the WasabiDX on to my Wii Version 3.4E fitted it, when I go to test it and try to access the Wasabi menu screen by pressed the reset button 3 times I cant, the screen goes black and get this message up
"An Error has occurred press the eject button and remove the disc , then turn the wii console off and refer to the wii operations manual for help troubleshooting"
Is the wassabi chip dead as I can see the a green light on the chip
The wii works fine without the chip in place
Wii drive is a GC2-DMS: chip set
