hi guys i m using XBC 2.9 with 0800 F/W do i need to push unlock drive in drive tools when i wont to rip a game

I dont think you do, but if you put the game in, and it only shows up as a few mb, as opposed to 7.5gb then you'll need to use unlock drive.

if the backup show up as a few mb and you rip them will they still pass in abgx

No, because you will only be ripping the video which is that video that play's with the xbox intro type thing then says please put this game in a 360 console in a few different languages.
