I asked around and the guy seems legit. He is based in Gainesville Florida in the US. I'm in South Carolina so I'm not that far away in case things get shady. I have his address so if I don't get my Wii back then I just make a visit to the guys place :D I paid $139 for the Wasabi, install, and shipping.

I've always thought the criminal hierarchy goes murderers, rapists, drug dealers, modders...

Did someone show up at your place or did you get a letter to stop the modding? I didn't think anyone cared about modding except for console/game makers. The government should have bigger things to worry about than modders

There were raids by the ICE unit of the FBI on 32 modders in 16 states, including FL in August of last year. People that modify consoles and installed modchips were the main targets. People in the modding community were affected. It's a close-knit community, so it was pretty scary for all involved. Nowadays, it is not a good idea to openly discuss modding or advertise mod services.

no i was not even talked to.
after the smoked cleared.it was the mod chip installer that they were after.
That is not to say they could show up on my door.
I am just going by the past and what they did.
Thats one of the reasons you will have a hard time finding someone to install a v79 passkey in a 360.
There are just not many that can do the small soldering that is needed and after the raids even less that will do it for people.

If you read over the site .
I dont do any of this stuff.I dont flash or install mod chips.
I provide a place for all of us to talk.

Ill drop by on him the next time im down there.
i would like to see his set up.

Got my Wii back today. Tried out Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil 4, and No More Heroes. Works like a charm! 8-) The guy took a little longer than I expected but overall I'm pleased. So I guess I can recommend him to anyone wanting a reliable installer in the US.
