is there a decent fix for this that doesnt involve sending it to micosoft? is there a reflow method that isnt that difficult?

xclamp fix, has a high success rate, heatgun reflow's have a high success rate, but both can and may end up failing.

If you have a professional reflow done on it, chances are better that it will live a longer life. You'll either need to send it to M$ for them to do a pro reflow, or find someone with a rework station and have them do it for you.

just like haggard said

try the xclamp fix 1st

if that doesnt work you could allways try the heatgun way
