hi, i have all the necessary tools for the led mod on the ps3 dualshock 3 controller. i wanted that rumble effect and i was wondering if anyone could provide me with a tutorial on how to do this.

i no i've got some games to play on ps3 asswell, that is why i haven't touched my controller yet. i kind of know the process but need a tut just to confirm it. i will let everyone know how it goes.

hi just thought i will give it a shot again and guess what i have a dual shock 3 now and i used to have sixaxis before. i tried led mode on my sixaxis as it was easier but my soldering skills were so bad that i left it and also i sold that controller and got a dualshock 3. i opened it up but this one have a complete different layout and also the shell of controller is opaque. i did rumble 3 led mode as solder wasnt required and also works fantastic but the problem is the controller is black and it s opaque. so bit stuck again. ive seen some people do it on youtube but there glows. my question is do i put the mobo of ds3 into sixaxis. will this work

well finally done it, i just had to drill the holes of same size of the leds, man it was pain drilling my controller but it just looks sweet. i will post picz when i can get hold of my m8.

hi guys ive recently performed the led mod on my dualshock 3
controller, everything went succesfully until i realised that
the controller leds stay on all the time, that meaning the battery
runs out alot of the time, so most times i have to play with the
ds3 conntected to the ps3 because the battery is drained out during
the ps3 being turned off and the actual controller leds staying lit.
Can someone please advice me of what to do? what have i done wrong?

hey man seems you posted this while ago i hope you found the answer if not, i suspect you have wired the leds with the main battery and if thats the case they will reamin solid as there is no power cut off, simple fix rewire them to the 2 motors instead.
