Bad status in Vendor mode ...

hmz ...

I'm trying to update a benq drive using JF

It goes into vendor mode status 0x73 after sending intro

but when i hit the read button it says this

Getting Status from port 0xEC00
Invalid Status 0x50


WTF ? What could be the cause of this ?

does it have LT firmware on the drive

yeah it does have the LT

when i did that drive from 1.61 to LT i had the same problem but i dont know how i fixed it then

in know with LT on lite-on's it wont let you read the drive it something to do with the F/W.

just load your source F/W (original f/w or one with your key in) then load your target f/w LT v1.1 get your drive in vendor and then write job done.

when you flash with LT or LT v1.1 its like it mimics a 9xxxx series drive, so unless you have your keys...
you would have to go about it like the 9xxxx series drive.

It ereased
then came write bank 0 .........
And then pc freezes ...

WTF ....

Everytime i power the drive now pc freezes again ...

Can anyone link me to a good HOW TO ... on using Iprep for a lite on ...

I need to revive this drive and i think my only otion will be iprep and then try it in dos ...

any help thnx

I got Ipep 11.6

every time i want to load a FW i get an error saying
A valid firmware source was not selected
only non-Patched Firmwares can be loaded

What am I doing wrong ?

Fixed this using dosflash and JF

Booted win 7 into test mode
used dosflash to get in the drive erased it again
Jf to make me a good FW
and flashed it in with dosflash
