So many problems with first firmware hack

I have a ms25 Samsung Drive I'm trying to hack. I have tried several different methods, but none seemed to work. I tried Jungleflasher first. I installed my card and removed the drivers like the Jungleflasher guide said to do. This is where the problems happen. When i turn my computer on with the 360 drive connected it freezes during the Windows XP splash screen. If I wait to connect the sata cable to the 360 after I open Jungleflasher, Windows XP freezes and I have to power off the system. Ive gotten lucky a couple times and the system did not freeze but Jungleflasher reported there were no drives detected.
Next time I tried Iprep. I made the usb boot drive and rebooted the system. I got to the iprep dos screen. I typed SAM ####### ##### and it told me to answer No to the first 2 questions. When I get to the third option I enter Yes. The status reads 0x80. I turn off the system and waited 10-15 secs then turned the 360 back on. I go no response. I tried power cycling a couple more times with no drive detected.
I'm starting to suspect a faulty card or sata cable. Does anyone have an suggestions?
