question about flashing part

Ive dumped the drive and the serial/key have been copied. Now ive read on some tutorials that at some point during flashing iPrep will tell you turn off the drive, when actually youre supposed to turned it on and hit any key, however i saw Cofree's video and you left your's off and hit any key. so am i supposed to leave it off and press any key or am i to switch it off and then on and then hit any key? but then if i leave it on and hit any key, how am i supposed to resend the MTK to the drive, or will it just automatically got to writing the 4 banks?

it's exactly the same as the dumping procedure... (except the startup command : dben xxxxxxx xxxxx)
if you have done that already you should be ok for writing 2 ;)

make sure your drive is turned off then hit y for it to resend the command. after hitting y turn the drive back on and the reading should start and flashing should have started.

man you did not say what drive you were flashing
there is a difference.
make sure you are using the lastest iprep
if its a benq you start with the drive off.then do what it says on the screen.
if it a sam you start with the drive powered on and turn it of when it say for the 10 sec trick.

the video i did are right.
do it like them
read what is on the screen when you boot on the flash Klutsh lays it out just what to do.
if you are not sure ASK before you go farther

Its a Benq, and in textbook's guided, he says "You must power the 360 back ON before pressing any
key to continue....If you press any key to continue with the 360 powered OFF,it will immediately freeze attempting to
write Bank 0."
(this is after the erasing part). so do i ignore that than and just tit any key while it is OFF?

As I said before...
if you've dumped it - you can flash it (pretty much the same procedure / just a different command line)
There's no need to outline the process, sounds like you have already hit the mark with a successful dump.

Try not to confuse yourself by following 2 guides! Cofree's tutorial is accurate - follow that ;)

Also.. a side note:
Take your time, read the on screen prompts - all the information is there / the margin for error after a sucessful dump "& backup" is minimal ;)

man what is going on

ok
you said you have dumped the drive
you should have a copy of your ofw from the backup folder on the flash saved many places.

now boot back onto the usb flash
and
DO IT THE SAME WAY YOU DUMPED
(just what MsK said)

When i dump i have the power off
then hit Y to resend.

the video was not a fake it was me flashing a benq drive(mine)
i guess you are goping to have to pick one guide and try.
i have never had to do the back on power.yes i have read that and heard that some have had to do it.
i never have.
i do what is on the screen.
that was wrote by KLUTSH and its his program (iprep).

let me know how you get on.

aight im just gonna follow your guide then, k but if it does freeze during flashing(like it says in textbook's guide if u continue with 360 off), will i be able to start again into dos(type fben serial#)and re flash afterwards and follow the other guide? i other words, will i still be able to refash in case i screw up on my first time flashing?
I have the backup and evrything

as long as you have your orig firmware with a good key you should be fine.

at most you will have to do a restore.

make no mistake
the responsibly is on you.
we are just letting you know what and how we did it

do it the way you dumped and you should be fine.

you should be able to do the restore if things go bad.
i have read of some that were not able to restore.
ive never had a problem
