urgent dummy from ixtreme failed

trying to reflash my son xbox i have clicked on dummy from ixtreme but it keeps comeing up extraction failed power drive half open then click ok
i donnot have the key saved and i have tried going through the process again to flash it but it comes up with loinfo extraction failed it is an liteon 838 drive

have you tried the drive half way?? also try it in diff locations as well. Also double check that you have the correct ports

the tray some times a little more open or closed works

what rev is the drive??

not sure what you mean by rev but it is a 838 drive from may 2009

it may be a revision 1. if iprep is an option try that use the latest version and use this commando a c:\ l83 1234567 12345 r that command will just attempt to read the drive and save a l83ofw.bin which should hold ur key

just tried that mate still no good downloaded iprep again set it up still coming up read failed , just realised sdo i have to change the def file if so where do i get that from i cant remember

i dont have my usb pens here with me. as long as you loaded the correct fw then it shouldnt matter.

yes mate it is all thye correct firmare everything but just read failed again i tried my other liteon drive in jflasher aswell with dummy from ixrtreme still failed dont understand that

the usual ck3 mate , i have just downloaded iprep 12 where do i get the def file from if you still need to change it

shouldnt need one that will allow you to flash lt for a lit

does that mean anything to you
