Upgrading system on a iXtreme LT Lite Touch 1.7 console?

I have successfully flashed a Liteon 93450c drive to iXtreme LT Lite Touch 1.7 using JungleFlasher. I have used Xtractor Maximus, Vampire (a probe) and a Rebuild Board. The process involved cutting and soldering. The original drive firmware (Lite-OFW.bin) is safe.
I do have a number of questions, they may seem simple, but am not clear on them as to the process yet.
1. To upgrade the Xbox 360 to the latest system version, I would need to revert back to the original drive firmware using the Lite-OFW.bin file that was extracted with JungleFlasher?
2. If yes in question 1, do I need to open the console again and get to the drive, and connect the Xtractor Maximus and Vampire again? I would need to erase the current iXtreme LT Lite Touch 1.7 CFW and write to the drive the original firmware (using the Lite-OFW.bin file?
I am not clear on what is involved in reverting back to original firware from iXtreme LT Lite Touch 1.7 CFW and whether any hardware is required again in doing so.
If I need to hook my drive again, what is required as a connection? Connect everything identically as when the firmware was first extracted (Lite-OFW.bin)?
Would one also need to open up the DVD drive to expose the motherboard, and deconnect the two ribbon connections to the driveboard as initially done? Or the intention of this, is to connect the Xtractor Maximus only to the drive board, while leaving the three ribbon connected to the board in place? Not sure what needs to be opened up.
The only file that was extracted from the drive was Lite-OFW.bin - this is all I need to reflash back to original firmware, no? Been reading that some have other files (such as key.bin, or dummy.bin - what are these?) Are these not files generated/extracted from the Lite-OFW.bin?
Now, are there any reflashing back to original firmware tutorials out there using JungleFlasher? Under the "Firmware Tool 2" I would have to load "Lite-OFW.bin" in the SOURCE field (by clicking on the "Open Source Firmwar"), but what about the TARGET field? What is that?
Again, not sure how the reflashing back to original is to be done.
(The initial flashing to CFW was done by loading the "ix-ltv1.1-934.bin" from JungleFlasher v0.1.73 Beta firmware folder inside the SOURCE field, and the TARGET was the extracted "Lite-OFW.bin" file. Then under "MTK Flash 32" the "Lite-On Erase" button was pressed, followed by "Intro/Device ID", "Write" and then "Outro/ATA Reset" if I recall correctly.)
The same has to be done this time by now "Lite-OFW.bin" is loaded inside TARGET and "ix-ltv1.1-934.bin" is loaded inside the SOURCE field?
The drive does not have to opened to expose the motherboard? Or if it does, do I leave the ribbons connected to the drive board of the DVD in place, but only connect the Xtractor Maximus to power and turn it on so it does the injection by itself?
Not too clear, and this is also since I could not find clear and concise instructions on this.
