old power brick new xbox

just wondering just brought a new xbox jasper unit can i use the old power brick with it if my new one packs up or do i just bin the old one or sell it , i was going to keep it just incase i have had one go in the past

All xbox's are reverse power brick compatible.

Which means the newest xbox (jasper) is able to use any power brick out there. Your xbox will only take the power it needs and if more is supplied thats fine, it wont use it all.

The only problems you'll ever have with a power brick is if you use a newer generation power brick on an older generation console.

To make sure it will work, just try to plug it in, if it fits, it will work fine.

If you look the 203 watt will fit in all 3 generation plugs without a problem. The 175 will fit in the jasper, but not the xenon. The thing to look at is where the red lines point to.
