xbox freezing

Hey guy's/girl's

my brothers xbox keeps freezing up no matter what he does. i opened it up and cleaned it out( blew it out with airgun) but still freezes. it will freeze up at different times not always in the same place could it be the dvd drive? its the only thing i could think of that i touched. i modded his xbox like 1 yr ago. any help would be appreciate it.

Have you tried replacing the xclamps? 9 out of 10 times this is the problem, the freezing will soon stop but not because its fixed but because the problem it wants to cause has finally happened, the 3 red lights! buy a xclamp repair kit from ebay or team executer then apply the kit to the xbox, it can be pretty hard to do on your own so get some help with it.

Freezing is one of the first signs of the RROD. Recommend either the xclamp fix or (preferred) reflowing the solder with a heat gun. Should be able to find a tutorial for either of these methods here, or on youtube.

If that doesn't work try the southbridge X-clamp fix
