Ok so I haven't done this before, but I did some research but here is my situation:
I have a broken BenQ drive that I will be replacing with a new BenQ drive. As I understand the M$ will ban me if i place a new one with a different ID. HOWEVER. I already got banned a while a go and dont give a f*** ...smoke weed everyday(<==not imposing it, its a youtube thing, search it)
So my question is, do i even need to spoof the drive properly, meaning that do i have to read the old drive's ID and transfer/copy that into my new one? or can i just flash my new drive (without transferring my old ID/key) as if stock and stick it in my console, will that work?

i think all you need to do is flash your key from the dead benq to the new one, spoofing is not needed anymore

You wont be banned for not copying the key over, you will just lose the ability to play 360 games. You will just have a dvd player.
You need to dump the old benq, then spoof that key into the new one in order to be able to play games.
PS, is this the video your referring to?
A buddy sent me this a while back, nick swardson is funny as hell.

i prefer to use jungle flasher because its all done with a few clicks, if your computer works with jungle flasher then i would strongly recommend to use it

Wow so there are no proper tutorials for drive replacement using JungleFlasher, and I have limited knowledge of this stuff because i do this for myself only. So from whet I understand this is what needs to happen:
Step 1: I will hook up my old BenQ via sata (vt6421A) and run junglefasher. In the MTK tab I will click on unlock BenQ, and then I will read the firmware and save it on my computer. turn off drive and unhook.
Step 2: Now I will hook up my new BenQ, (this is the part im tripping out to) and flash it i guess using the old BenQ info instead of ixtreme firmware. if this sounds wrong, correct me, i would greatly appreciate an explanation.
But here's another problem, my old BenQ has been flashed before, it either has ixtreme 1.4 or 1.5 (i cant remember all i know is that i need to use the activate.iso cd for newer games, to put it into context ive had to use the activate.iso since GTA LATD) Anyways my question is how do I flash the new drive with the latest ixtreme firmware? Im assuming that after i successfully replaced the key as mentioned above, i will have to flash the drive normally using jungleflasher.

forget about dumping the firmware from the new benq if u dont need the key off it for another xbox, in jungle flasher open the old benq firmware as source, benq ixtreme LT as target, click spoof source to target then flash the drive like normal

Sorry once again im noob and I dont want to screw this up, just to clarify I open JungleFlasher and in the Firmwaretool 32 tab I do as mentioned above....ok, but once spoofed do i save the spoofed ixtreme lt into a file, and then i load that into the mtk tab and click write when the new BenQ is hooked up?
Thanks for the help louis09

ok so WTF!?
screenshoot.jpg
What I did:
So i plugged in my old BenQ, clicked on read firmware and saved it. I then put that as the source and also placed the ixtreme LT as the target, and spoofed and everything seemed ok, the key was identical so it went well.
So after that i unplugged the old drive and plugged in the new one (sata and power) after clicking on the MTK tab, it still reads drive in vendor mode and 0x73 thing which assured me that everything was ok. I then clicked on write and now its frozen
Any suggestions? I didnt do the whole half drive open thing b/c its a stock drive so its unnecessary right?

what you must of done is forget to click outro/ata reset before you unplugged the old benq, well you got it done in the end but always remember to click that when disconnecting the drive from the pc because this takes it out of vendor mode good work man

oo tru, maybe i should make a proper tutorial one day. I come in a total noob, but always end up learning so much that i can do it in my sleep. Ya your right I didnt even do the outro/ata reset thing, must have missed it in the junglefalsher tutorial. But nonetheless, everything is working well. I just bought Red Dead Redemption form this guy for real cheap but it was mad scratched, took me a couple of tries to make a proper backup of the game so now I have fresh copy of the game without any disc errors detected by my 360
