Question about wave 5 and 6 games

Question about wave 5 and 6 games

I have just backed up prince of Persia the forgotten sands. This game is a wave 6 game yet while running it through abgx360 it reports back as a wave 4 game. I read on the internet that after doing the latest xbox live update that wave 4 games will report back as wave 6 anyways. Is this true? Or will I need to patch my wave 4 games to wave 6 to remain safe on live?
