Robin Hoods Playground

hi i am in need of some advice. I am trying to flash my benq drive. When i get to the part of erasing the the firmware it says:

status: 0x73
erasing...wrong flash status

can some please help me out. the command i am using is :

DosFlash e FC00 1 a0 1 4 D8 0

i am using the onboard viachipset to do this.

This would really help me out as i am losing my mind over this.

is there anything different you are doing from your dump

try to dump it again and see what happens.

got it erased and flashed hacked firmware everything seemed to ok but now it wont play any games at all when put a disc in it comes up with to play this disc put in 360 console, white screen with diffrent languages.

please help.

and myoriginal problem was that i was using dosflash 1.4, changed to 1.3

you are useing the dos16 right.
will it play a orig game at this time.

this could be bad man

ill have to look into flashing a benq back to orig.
never had to do it so ill look into it.

i still say do a dump and see what you get.when you get the firmware off.open it with firmware toolboxv4.5 and look at your key.
ill bet its messed up.like a bunch of the same number or letter.

its not playing orig either.

will have a look.

just checked the hacked firmware turns out it is bad, all 777777777777777777777777777777777.

what should i do fix this prob.

Check your original firmware dump and see if its bad also. If it is you may be up a creek!

1st
go open your orig firmware in toolbox v4.5 and make sure it is good.
as long as it good(dont lose it) let me know if your orog is good.if its bad im sorry to say but it would be over.
i think we can get it working.as long as you have a good orig.
ill have to look into it some.

hi original firmware looks good, just bad hacked fw.

Copy your key from your good orig bin,put it on your hacked firmware then recheck your hacked bin in toolbox then reflash it with the good dvd key in place,and you will be good to go.I had the same problem the other night flashing my first benq.

so the key looks good.not a lot of the same number or letter.

As long as that is the case then you need to flash back orig firmware.
make your boot flash then move a COPY of your orig firmware on to the flash take the other firmware off.
do a erase first
dosflash e #### 1 a0 1 4 d8
after that then you type your command linelike this
dosflash w #### 1 a0 1 4 c:\orig.bin

you may need a "0" or a "1" at the end off the line after a space

got it workin FINALY. what the problem was that when using firmtool 1.1 it was creating the duff hacked fw. got firmtool 1.0 and tried that to creat firmware and it worked.
