Getting around an update for a download?

Post by aTurgidKnave »

I've never been good at determining where my posts should go and since I haven't posted in forever, I'm even worse now.

Anyways, I have Ninja Gaiden Black downloaded to "my" 360 and I'm in the mood for getting furious and breaking controllers, but apparently it needs to update every time I want to play it...is there a way around this? I'm banned, so I have no way to connect it to Live. I'm also poor, so I have no way to buy a new 360.

Thank you in advance.

are you sure its not just the game that has the update on. If it is then you wont need live. Ull just need a hdd or memory card and take the update

When it tells you it needs to update, just click ok, and update your console. The update is on the disk itself.

There is an app out there that removes the update from the game iso, you can use it to remove the update if you want.

It's an Xbox Original downloaded from the marketplace...I think they call it a "game on demand" now, but I bought it back before that mess. I try to update and it and it says I need to be connected to live. It's like it needs to take the update from the disc, but the "disc" is the live marketplace. Also, I think this "update" is more of a validation of the legitimacy of the game...which I don't understand why they need that if I never clear my cache.

Damn..I love that game..
Oh well.
And in a sense, I am...in the gaming world. I test video games as my job. Greatest job ever.
In the California sense...no...My mom is closer to that than I am, ha

And when I visit, I'll be sure to incorporate a Saturday. Or, well...whatever day would happen to be a game night.
