Hello RHPG,i have a flashed liteon with LT on it it was banned in the great ban wave just before christmas it had ixtreme 1.51 on it at the time,but then i have installed the update to bring the hdd back on-line and installed LT,i was wondering if it was possible to jtag it because i belive you can play your backed-up games from the hdd without the disc.any help on this please and thank you.

Nope, your kernel version is too high. If you've installed the update that unlock's HDD's your kernel is above that which is vulnerable to jtaging.

Thank you for your response on this , oh well will have to wait for my next x box purchase.I have been dying to try the process but not this time.so i take it if i did not install the hdd update i could of done it,and take it that jtag would make the hdd online agian? or am i wrong.

It was actually the update from August 09 8599(?) (Facebook/Twitter support) that patched the JTAG vulnerability. There is no workaround or way to downgrade. New consoles are also likely to already be running the latest or second to latest kernel. You would have to hunt down a used console that is running a vulnerable kernel. free60.org can help you with that part.

You can buy jtaggable xbox's online but they are expensive, your best bet is to track down a friend who doesnt play much xbox, or have had a red ringed box for a while.
