Gamezplorer – Backup Manager (File Explorer and SFO Tool)

neofar from Elotrolado has released his application known as Gamezplorer. This tool basically allows you to manage PS3 backups on your external (or internal) drive(s).

To quote:

Good, I’m developing a small utility to display the contents of the / gamez / comodoa so without having to enter all the directories to find that each game is about or have prow there. Txt file to query the id of each game.

this is a simple explorer that shows pictures of each game with your full name
what is now the development is only a couple of hours so it’s not for release yet, still I have to finish:

- Fix incorrect directory names
- View the PARM.SFO and make changes (to enable remote play for example)
- It can set the thumbnail size (default is 320 pixels images)
- It can set you want to see as title, the game ID or full name
- View files as the bottom side HD
- Connect via FTP to explore the inner disk of the console

and the post was to ask for suggestions … I can put one you .. even thought to put a rating for games to be stored on a server so that people can see ‘your backups’ which are the best recognized

Update – 13/09 – First version available:

- Allows you to scan any hard disk
- 3 display modes
- Displays the file PARAM.SFO (still can not change anything)
- Shows what occupies each game.

with the new developments that are coming out
we will be adding and changing it a lot in the future.
just about anything at this point will be fine (no games )

If or when you get your ps3 going you will see how cool this is because until now every time u got in to your hdd all u seen was a file named BCXXXXX and it didnt tell you what game that was, Now you can on your external or with the internal and ftp now you can see how big your game is like i have jurassic the hunted on my internal hdd that i didnt know how big it was until now and it will fit on a dvd-r i have been wanting to check that out

ill help out too, ive been checking for updates every few hours over the past two weeks if i find any files to download ill upload them in the trusted members area and also post new info in here
